How to Fix a Rifton Tray

Problem: Rifton tray detached from the bracket. Caused by a student who bangs on his tray for self stimulation.

What We've Tried:

1. Liquid Nails- after applying Liquid Nails, we allowed the adhesive to settle over the weekend, using clamps to apply pressure to the bracket. Unfortunately, once Monday arrived, the tray failed to survive our student's self stimming assault and we were back at square one.
2. Shurtape- after applying this double sided carpet tape, the bracket appeared to be securely fastened to the tray. However, after 3 days of relentless banging, the bracket began to slide sideways, allowing the tray to come off of the Rifton chair.
3. JB Weld PlasticWeld-  This one worked, but it was important to place the tray part in the correct position the first time.:-)
